Mayabeque, Cuba_ The reading celebration returns to Mayabeque as part of the twenty-seventh International Book Fair. San José de las lajas will hold the event whose main area will be placed at the Boulevard between April 11 and 15.
This year the Fair will be dedicated to the Havana’s historian, Eusebio Leal Spengler. The guest country is China, while at the provincial level the writer Reinaldo Medina will be recognized.
The specialist of literature of the Provincial Direction of Culture, Juan Carlos García Guridi, told Radio Mayabeque Digital that "the days of the fair are designed to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the resumption of the struggles for the independence of Cuba, to the university students, to the Rumba, the punto cubano and the children ".
In another moment of the statements he reported that "they have the 11 books planned and Monte Callado Publishinh House will present titles of foreign authors, that is the case of Enrique Pérez Díaz, an institution of the literature for children".
Celebrities of Cuban culture and people are invited to the 27th edition of the fair, among them René González, Hero of the Republic of Cuba and Ciro Bianchi, José Martí National Prize for Journalism.
The presentation of the National Publishers: Verde Olivo, Arte y Literatura, Gente Nueva, Boloña, José Martí and Letras Cubanas stands out among the main novelties of the event.
