Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Production Cooperative Unit (UBPC) Desembarco del Granma joined the entities of Güines that are already participating in the harvest of potatoes. Some days ago, the members of the Amistad Cubano Bulgara Production Cooperative (CPA) had begun the recollection.

In this municipality, 10 productive forms are linked to the productive process, 4 UBPC, 2 CPA, 3 Credit and Service Cooperatives (CCS) and the Urban Farm.

The specialist in potatoes and grains of the Miguel Soneira Ríos Company,  Richard Colomé López, said to the media that there are 532 hectáreas sowed with potato and they expect a total harvest of 11 thousands pf the product.

The harvest marches with quality and it is carried aout directly from the fields to the sale points of Mayabeque and Havana. In the next weeks part of the production will be sent to refrigerated centers so the seeds and the distribution in other months of the year will be guaranteed.
