Mayabeque, Cuba_ After 43 days of work in the furrows, the about 200 sugarcane farmers that integrate the productive forms of Madruga, manually occupied in this important task of the municipality, planted 42 hectares of the grass.

The sowings that began in the first ten days of last January correspond to the present cold season of the Base Business Unit (UEB) Attention to Producers, of almost 100 hectares of high yield cane varieties.

The farmers immersed in the plantations redouble their efforts to reach the proposed goals before the end of April and thus meet the schedule of the current stage.

The objective is to guarantee an upper harvest by taking advantage of cane yields, indicators reached by two UEB of the territory and four agricultural cooperatives.
