Mayabeque, Cuba_ Madruga, is one of the municipalities of Mayabeque with better results in the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), in adolescents and young people.

This was known during the Annual Balance for 2018, where they recognized the work of the Direction of Education in the territory, which plays a preponderant role with the incorporation of a broad program of health promotion in the teaching process,.

"We have in each of the educational institutions, a health promoter teacher, who is responsible for disseminating these issues”, said the Deputy Director of Education in the territory, Laritza Sayas O'Farril.

The results are excellent, but there is full awareness in the clauster of each school, about the need to continue prioritizing the training of students related to these issues.

"We will continue to work together, we cannot get tired, it is very important to prevent STDs," Sayas O'Farril added.
