Mayabeque, Cuba_ Evaluation and diagnosis of soil fertility, is one of the short postgraduate courses, with registration open throughout the year, at the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences (INCA), in San José de las Lajas, capital of Mayabeque .
The general objective is to ensure that students acquire knowledge and skills, in the use of different assessment and diagnostics methods, as a basis to develop comprehensive proposals, maintenance and improvement, for the productivity of land.
The experiments, in the field, with fertilizers under controlled conditions, the principles of the use of radioactive and stable isotopes, are some of the 8 subjects to be developed in this postgraduate course by the Doctor José Alfredo Herrera Altuve.
The learning of these methods is an essential tool for techniques related to agriculture. Their domain will allow the students to carry out studies and propose new actions for the management of soil fertility.
