Mayabeque_ Members of the Scenic Arts Branch in the province of Mayabeque, analyzed the dramatic performance in the territory and its community function, as part of the process prior to the IX Congress of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC).

It is important for the development of this manifestation, in the territory, the work of its three professional theater groups (Tacón, Las Olas and Estro de Montecallado), whose actions have the decisive support of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) and the Provincial Direction of Culture and its system of institutions, the report presented explains, the official site of the UNEAC publishes.

These groups contribute decisively to the programming, completed with the presence of groups from other provinces (mainly from Havana), the AHS and the groups of the Movement of Amateur Artists (MAA) of the Houses of Culture.

This theatrical program is intensified during the summer months, being relevant the Sepia Room of the Young Creator House (Casa del Joven Creador), in the town of San José de las Lajas.

They also highlight the good relations currently maintained between theater groups and culture to agree common objectives and actions, which strengthen the promotion and appreciation of the demonstration in the territory.

In the debate they explained the need to have a provincial hall for that artistic manifestation with the right conditions as well as to create the structure of the Scenic Arts Council, the incorporation of young people, strengthen dialogue with authorities in the municipalities and the need for maintenance of existing facilities.

Members of the three professional groups of theater of Mayabeque’s territory indicated their full support to the next Congress of the UNEAC and ratified the actress María Elena Vázquez Segura as president of the Scenery Arts Branch.
