The president visited centers of culture, public health and gastronomy, located near the Cuatro Esquinas and on both sides of the central highway that runs through the capital city, including the Art Gallery, the Casa del Ron Havana Club and the Optical Center.

In transit through the corridors of the high educational center, he spoke with students of the Agronomy and Veterinary careers.

At the end of the tour he exchanged with teachers and students in the company of the Ministers: "We wanted to introduce a concept that supports some of the pillars that we had proposed for the work of the administration and the work of the government in the country, so we can have always present tools to solve any of the complex problems we have to face today, the use of computerization, social communication and the use of scientific research led to innovation, that is the use of study to solve problems.

Then Diaz-Canel added: "And to support this concept in a more practical way, we ask all the agencies of the central administration of the state, all the ministries to have a more direct link with the universities from now on, that is the objective of these four visits in January and February and it will be forever. "

"On the other hand, the Ministers come, they expose which are the diagrams of work and the fundamental projects, the University then decides the interests of investigation, the potentialities of those subjects and thus a matrix of demand of investigation and innovation is defined and from there is follow-up and I am sure that we will have a group of very interesting projects to carry”.
