Mayabeque, Cuba_ The activities for the Cuban Press Day began in this territory with the development of the Workshop "Homeland, Validity of Marti’s Journalism", a day that will last until March 16.
Maykel Simón Ramos, on behalf of the José Martí Cultural Society, said that Patria was the energetic voice of the Cuban emigration in the United States and contributed significantly to the achievement of the necessary unity and the exaltation of the patriotic spirit.
Under the direction of our Martí, who was a "soldier at the service of the Revolution, a crucial part of the strategy to organize and carry out the necessary war”, Simón Ramos said.
He never stopped thinking about Homeland. Proof of this is the indication that regarding the newspaper he gave to his collaborators in the direction of the Cuban Revolutionary Party, Gonzalo de Quesada and Benjamín Guerra.
From those indications we, the journalists of today, can and must take a lot of experience, reason why the legacy of Patria maintains all its validity.
