Mayabeque, Cuba_ The provincial act for International Women's Day took place, this Sunday, at the Popular Council Osvaldo Sánchez, of Güines, at 10:00 in the morning.
According to the Secretary General of the Cuban Women Federation (FMC in Spanish), in this municipality, Bárbara Nápoles, during the activity they recognized in a special way the women with outstanding participation in the Constitutional Referendum process.
Also, workers from agriculture, health, education and other spheres where Cuban women played a leading role were honored, the leader added.
The words of commitment, in the act, were in charge of Raquel Magalis DÃaz Salvat, the only delegate from Güines who will attend the Tenth Congress of the FMC, to be held in Havana, between March 5 and 8.
As part of the festivities, an agricultural fair for all the people present was held at the end of the activity.
