Mayabeque, Cuba_ At the beginning of March 1959, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro distributed the first 340 land titles in Las Martinas community, Pinar del Río.

The farmers, in Madruga, commemorated the 60th Anniversary of the historic event, in a political act, based in the Camilo Cienfuegos Agricultural Cooperative, in the municipality.

According to the young producer, Leonel Enrique López, that action of the historical leader, began the vindication of the farmers, after the triumph of the Revolution, because it made reality the program of the Moncada.

At the meeting, the farmers ratified the commitment to continue producing food for the people, with good practices and higher yields and thus contribute to the substitution of imports.

During the day, they held a workshop on agricultural innovation, aimed at training producers and entrepreneurs, in favor of organic and developed agriculture.
