Mayabeque, Cuba_ The workers of the Rubén MartÃnez Villena Agribusiness Company, of Madruga expect to harvest about a thousand and twenty tons of potatoes once the harvesting works scheduled to begin in the final days of this March have been completed.
The campaign of the crop, corresponding to 2019, is under development on the land of that entity. The first productive samples were evaluated, with encouraging results.
According to the economic director of the company, Milena Germade, of the 56 hectares planted, 28 will be destined for seeds, as a way to replace imports and the rest for commercialization, in the units of regulated products of the territory.
The yields of this stage, should report more than 20 tons of potato per hectare harvested, in an effort to strengthen the economic results and contribute with the food and social programs of the community.
