Mayabeque, Cuba_ A meeting between the women, members of the FMC-ANAP brigades, groups created to increase the presence of women in the National Association of Small Farmers, took place in the municipality of San Nicolás.
The advance in the incorporation as associated of the peasant organization and the integration to the tasks of the community, were aspects treated in the meeting that became an exchange of experiences, aspirations and gender strategies.
The FMC-ANAP brigades in the southern municipality are the protagonists of the completion of the infrastructures of the grassroots organizations, the promotion of women to management positions, stimulate the initiative and creativity towards improving the quality of life of peasant women.
More than 300 women of this locality integrate these groups, a successful link that pursues the empowerment of rural women and strengthens work at the base.
