Mayabeque, Cuba_ The program of the doctor and the nurse of the family celebrates this 2019 its 35th anniversary and that is the reason to redouble efforts in order to achieve excellence and professionalism in the services.

The completion of medical coverage in the 34 existing doctor’s offices in the territory and the stability in the work of the basic community work groups stand out among the advances of the sector, which contribute to the prevention and promotion of health.

To this we must add the operation of the two integral general polyclinics of Madruga with their emergency and intensive care rooms and the ultrasound departments, X-rays, as well as the clinical laboratory during the 24 hours.

Only through this way it will be possible to reach the goal of the Ministry of Public Health to solve 70 percent of the cases in the primary care level, whether it is at the doctor's office or the polyclinic.

According to the municipal director of the sector, Ania Martínez Gómez, they have a high commitment to the welfare and quality of life of the people.

Throughout this year they will carry out activities with the participation of the community to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the program of the doctor and the nurse of the family, an initiative of the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro.
