Mayabeque, Cuba_ The team of Mayabeque will take part in the initial segment of the National Boxing Series, based in three cities: Guantánamo, Santa Clara and Cárdenas.
Matanzas will host the western selections of Pinar del Río, Havana, Isla de la Juventud, Artemisa and Mayabeque.
As it is traditional, the contest will have a second elimination round. There will be two more the teams which will fight for the medals.
The easternmost province of the country will host the sub champions of Santiago, Holguin, Las Tunas, Granma and the locals, with the latter determined to return to the final phase, the president of the Cuban Boxing Federation, Alberto Puig, confirmed.
In Villa Clara will fight the teams of the center region, led by the champion Camagüey, again favorite to pass over Ciego de Ávila, Sancti Spíritus, Cienfuegos and the orange hosts.
