Mayabeque, Cuba_ With the presence of Nereida López Labrada, General Secretary of the National Trade Union of the Workers of Culture, took place in San José de las Lajas, the Annual Balance of that structure in this province.
The most recurrent themes analyzed were the attention to the movement of amateur artists and the rescue of their festivals, the preparation and training of the union leaders, the salary of the members to the sector, the ideological political management, the affiliation of the workers of the guild that carry out non-state activities and the movement of innovators and rationalizers among other topics.
The sector of culture workers in the province of Mayabeque has 2 thousand 225 members, including 1 thousand 696 state workers, 279 non-state retirees and 349 non-state employees, 112 union sections, 16 union delegates and 12 sections for non-state employees.
The need to grow in the reserve list of cadres, intensify the ideological political work and the affiliation of non-state workers was also under discussion. Another challenge is to turn the work centers into main scenarios of the union's action plan.
During the meeting they were recognized for their union results, Alba Rosa Pérez, from the union section of ARTEX Mayabeque, Mercedes Guerra González, Director of the José Martà Cultural Society, Tele Mayabeque, Radio Camoa Radio Station, the Provincial Propaganda Department and ARTEX Mayabeque Branch.
The general secretariat of the National Trade Union of Workers of Culture, Nereida López Labrada, valued the analysis of the central report as positive and urged everyone to work on all the tasks and approaches to greet the XXI Congress of the Cuban Workers' Federation.
