Mayabeque, Cuba_ The young athlete from Mayabeque. Roberto Luis Fernández Savigne, increased the number of medals of the Cuban delegation in the World Special Olympics Olympiad, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

On Tuesday, the 17-year-old Güinero won two awards in the athletics competitions. In the morning, he took the second place and the silver medal, in the one hundred meters, with time of 11 minutes and 56 seconds and in the afternoon he achieved the bronze, in long jump with a jump of 5, 50 meters.

Roberto Luis contributed to the small representation of Cuba, with only seven competitors, which now accumulates nine medals distributed in two gold, four silver and three bronze.

The two golden titles were won by the weightlifter Yaritza Parrado, who also won two silver laurels. The strong Yoandy Padrón also took the podium for a bronze medal.

The universal event was attended by nearly 7 thousand 500 athletes from 190 nations, who competed in 24 sports.
