Mayabeque, Cuba: Workers, students and the people of Santa Cruz del Norte paid tribute to Camilo Cienfuegos on the 60th anniversary of his physical disappearance. The closing of Camilo-Che’s Day was commemorated here provincially.
A political-cultural act open the ceremony which was followed by a pilgrimage to the boardwalk of the main urban center of the municipality.
The activity became the scene of denunciation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States government against Cuba and of support to the Latin American leaders of the left.
The presentation of cultural activities and the delivery of cards to new members of the Young Communists League (UJC) and the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) were other actions carried out.
A floral offering on behalf of the people of Mayabeque was deposited in the seat, which recalls the mark of the Lord of the Vanguard.
The drum roll, the fluttering of white doves in freedom and the sea flooded with flowers sealed the commemoration that reaffirms that the eternal commander lives in the heart of the people, not as a past memory, but a present that summons to be better every day.
