Mayabeque, Cuba: On October 31, 1976, the Local Organs of Popular Power were created. We celebrate this important date with previous leaders and officials of our territory, who held various positions throughout these 43 years.
It was a day full of emotions. In the tour of the Auxiliary Office, the guests could remember moments lived when they fulfilled various responsibilities here.
It was a day of human warmth, overflowing emotions and the occasional tear that characterized the meeting of management cadres of different mandates of the Municipal Assembly of the Popular Power of Melena del Sur, after 43 years of being constituted the Local Organs of Popular Power, by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
Eneida Álvarez Gil, who of her 40 years of working life, dedicated 25 of them to work in the Municipal Assembly of People's Power referred to the meeting.
"Today I felt that I fell rejuvenated, the exchange was very beautiful because we managed to get other colleagues to present their experiences."
Nor did the smiles of satisfaction fail to recall crucial moments in which cadres of the assemblies of the most humble social backgrounds faced the decision making in social programs and responsibilities that tested the integrity and commitment to comply with the Revolution, however difficult the task was.
