Mayabeque, Cuba: More than 80 percent of the self-employed workers in the municipality of Madruga received training in this 2019, as part of the government policy aimed at developing and raising the efficiency of an activity of great economic and social impact.
Eighty-eight people linked to the non-state employment modality were benefited in the territory, through courses related to the legal system and its main changes, economic and ethical mission, among other topics.
The training of self-employed persons is one of the measures implemented to strengthen the activity, which helps to prevent and eliminate indiscipline and acts of corruption.
According to the general director of economy in the territory, Juana Lourdes Oliva, today there are 947 people from Madruga with licenses to exercise this modality and their contribution to the state budget is significant as well as to local development.
In 2020 they will maintain the training actions at the request of the workers of the non-state sector themselves, who recognized that this preparation helps them stay within the law and have a better use of finances and other resources, as well as to raise the culture of good service.
