Mayabeque, Cuba: The radio documentary Personas que mueven el mundo (People that move the world), by Radio Jaruco journalist Yuniel RodrÃguez Chávez, deserved two important awards in the forty-first edition of the Caracol Contest, convened by the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC).
The program obtained Special Mention in the Radio category, and the Collateral Award conferred by the World Catholic Association for Communication, known by its acronym as, SIGNIS.
In just 12 minutes, the radio documentary tells the story of three young residents of Jaruco, from a social and hopeful point of view, who enjoy the love of their family.
Also this year, the program won the awards in the radio documentary genre at the Provincial Festival of Radio and Television, and the Ultrasound Contest of the Hermanos SaÃz Association of Las Tunas.
The award ceremony of the Caracol Contest, of the UNEAC, in its 2019 edition, will take place in Havana, on the afternoon of November 15.
