Saving is the key word to contribute to the actions of the country to reduce the cost of electricity and relieve the family economy.

Electric power is of great importance for social development. The improvement of life is due in part to the use of this resource. Using it rationally would help not only to have all the necessary comforts in the home, but also to prevent the industrial development of the country.

Some tips to be efficient neighbors are:

• Turn off, at least, a 20 W lamp, this way we save 80 MW of electricity demand to the country, during peak hours and thus avoiding the blackout. Take advantage of natural light.
• Disconnect the refrigerator, for only 1 hour a day, at the time of greatest electricity demand (7:30 past meridian to 8:30 at night). This will save 80 MW. Avoid opening the refrigerator frequently.
• Move household activities (cooking, washing and ironing) outside peak hours. Avoid pumping water.
• Keep low the lighting levels when watching TV.
• Do not have the computer turned on if it is not being used
• Turn on the air conditioner preferably after 10:00 at night. Move it to the fan position. Seal the room.
• Do not leave fans on unnecessarily.
