Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Municipal Culture House Genaro de la Rosa, in San José de las Lajas, hosts the Children's Repentismo Workshop Jesús Chávez Camero, to learn about literary and grammatical aspects related to the Decima.Â
According to Radio Camoa, on Tuesdays and Thursdays boys and girls learn about the history of the espinela, the oral expression and the repentismom the way it is practiced in Cuba and other Ibero-American nations.
They are also instructed in the types of stanzas, in the rhymes assonants and consonants, in the literary resources, in the different structures of the Decima and in the dissimilar tunes that exist.
They also exercise the pies forzados in the controversies and are trained in the musical accompaniment with the lute and the tres.
The Jesús Chávez Camero Children's Repentism Workshop has been created for six years, and the group represents San José de las Lajas in competitive peasant music events.
