San José de las Lajas, Mayabeque_ The Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) in San José de las Lajas assume a group of actions that welcome the Ninth Congress of the organization and revitalize its role in the community, the website of Radio Camoa reported.Â
They are carrying out debates with the residents, where they deal with topics such as drugs, the antivectorial campaign, social indiscipline and others, as well as encouraging the CDR guard, an essential task to maintain citizen peace.
The largest mass organization of Cuba in the capital of Mayabeque has among its objectives to strengthen the values in the community, for that reason they prepare activities for children and young people.
The new pines are directly linked to the actions of society; they participate in volunteer work, collect raw materials, collaborate with saving water and electricity in their homes and hold democratic elections to select their executive.
The CDR prevention groups use all their efforts to recover young people with behavioral problems, to achieve this they plan group talks, visit their families and the educational centers where they study.
