Mayabeque, Cuba_ The selection of Mayabeque reached four medals, one gold, one silver and two bronze, in the Pedro Reinier Sarría Boxing Cup by invitation, which took place in the city of Cienfuegos. 

According to the Mayabeque newspaper, the contest has also the participation of teams from Villa Clara, Havana, the National team of the discipline and the hosts.

Reinaldo Chacón Guevara, from Santa Cruz del Norte, won the gold medal in the division of 91 kilograms, while the silver metal was for Quivicán’s Yosiel Yovany Terrero Gómez, in the 64 kilograms, and the bronzes in the account of Osmir Santiesteban Fernández and Jairon Orlani Ramírez, both from Santa Cruz del Norte, in 69 and 81 in that order.

The boxers from Mayabeque placed in a third place, a meritorious result taking into consideration the age of the athletes, who showed the progress of this discipline in the territory.
