Mayabeque, Cuba_ The athlete from Mayabeque, Lianna de la Caridad Montero will represent Cuba in the Wrestling World Championship sub 23 to be played between November 21 and 26 in Poland. 

Guines’ girl will compete in the 56 kilograms in a category where she would win, since she has achived results at the highest level of this sport in the country.

Lianna will be accompanied in the contest by Yudaris Sánchez in the 69 kilograms, Mabelkis Capote in the 75, all under the orders of Alexis Estrabao.

For its part, the men who will travel to Poland in the classical modality are Havana’s Luis Alberto Orta and Daniel Gregory, besides the national champion Reinier Diaz, with Leonel Pérez as coach.

In the free category for men, Cuba is represented by Reinier Andriu from Sancti Spíritus and Camaguey’s Lazaro Hernández, as well as Cristian Salazar, commanded by Jesús Hernández.

This contest is a necessary step between the junior and senior category, especially for those who are novices in events at this high level.
