San José de las Lajas, Mayabeque_  At 28 years of Operation Tribute, the people of the capital of Mayabeque will honor its martyrs this December 7, according to the Radio Camoa website.

The heartfelt moving back to the national territory of the mortal remains of Cubans killed on internationalist missions in African countries is a symbol of an era that closed and another that opens in the history of the Cuban Revolution.

People pay tribute to men and women converted into martyrs in  a pilgrimage to the Pantheon of the Internationalists of the demarcation, as well as in the whole country.

Doctors, nurses, students, scientists, workers, combatants, housewives, journalists, workers in general, all in a united march with a noble goal, to thank and honor posthumously the cause of the heroes.

The members of the Cuban Association of Physical-Motor Limits (ACLIFIM), National  Association for the Deaf of Hard of Hearing (ANSOC), and  National Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ANCI) from San José de las Lajas, will join the symbolic journey that will culminate in the local cemetery.

The fall in battle of the Bronze Titan serves as a context for the event that educates the love of the Fatherland and internationalism in the new generations.

Antonio Maceo y Grajales continues to live among the best of Cuban youth and through the  Operation Tribute the generation of this century fosters respect for those who made the freedom of Cuba possible at the cost of their own life.
