Mayabeque Cuba_ Institutions, promoters and artists with outstanding work were recognized in Mayabeque on the eve of the Day of the Culture Worker.  

The municipality of Nueva Paz was distinguished as the best in the year that ends, transcended this Wednesday in act made at Raul Gómez García Provincial Library,

Odelmis Creach Rodríguez, Secretary of the Trade Union Bureau of Culture, was in charge of the central words in which she highlighted the main achievements and challenges of the union in the young province.

At the proposal of the Provincial Bureau, the National Secretariat of the Culture Union granted the Raul Gomez Garcia Award to Marcos Padrón Rodríguez, cultural promoter, librarian Yaquelín González Vázquez and musician Raúl Cabrera León, who expressed their gratitude.

The celebration of the Day of the culture workers in Mayabeque was a tribute to the 89th anniversary of the birth of Raúl Gómez García, the poet of the centennial generation.

The act was brightened by the students of the Artistic School Arístides Soto, with the interpretation of several works of the Cuban musical staff as well as the members of the Camerata Cortés, directed by the maestro José Luis Cortés, El tosco.
