Mayabeque, Cuba_ Specialists of the Electric Company of Mayabeque are promoting a campaign for the rational consumption of energy in the work centers and residential areas of that capital city, Radio Camoa publishes.Â
Through radio and television programs, they insist on the development of habits in the population for energy saving, which must be increased mainly during the peak hours.
The measure is part of the program to raise awareness about the economic costs that the waste of electricity causes to the country.
The calls to turn off the unnecessary lights, connect only the electro domestic equipments in use, and the maximum use of daylight, are premises for this important task.
Educating the people to save resources is a necessary mission for the economy of the inhabitants and the country.
