Havana_ The organizations Care and Oxfam participate along with the Soil Research Institute of Cuba, is carried out in five municipalities of the provinces of Mayabeque, La Habana and Artemisa, Prensa Latina publishes. 

According to Hilary Syme, head of Cooperation at the Canadian Embassy in Havana the objective is to strengthen the development of urban agriculture and includes innovative aspects in the value chain.

It has two components: the municipal directions of agriculture in matters of design, monitoring and execution of territorial plans for obtaining food and the work directly with the producers, in training, agro-technical, gender, business and value chains.

"We have a modest budget for cooperation, which focuses on various areas, where agriculture is vital," said the Canadian official.

Canada also cooperates with Cuba in the training of auditors at the national level and in the localities, through a project with the Comptroller General of the Republic, and in others currently in process linked to the Ministries of Public Health and Energy and Mines.
