Mayabeque, Cuba_ Delegates from the province of Mayabeque participated in the IX Cuban Congress of Meteorology, which was held at the Hotel Tryp Habana Libre.
In the event, dedicated on this occasion to the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Meteorological Society of Cuba, they defended works of all branches of this science.
Among the presentations were Numerical Tools Used in all Fog Forecasts in the Provinces of Artemisa, La Habana and Mayabeque, authored by Pedro Gonzáles Jardines, Carlos M. González Ramírez and Jorge F. Hernández Capote.
Sidney Moreno Pacheco and Carlos M. González Ramírez spoke on the Verification of the Quantitative Forecast of Precipitation of the WRF model for the provinces of Artemisa, Mayabeque and Havana.
While the investigation exposed by Pedro Gonzáles Jardines, Carlos M. González Ramírez and Jorge F. Hernández Capote dealt with The Internal Structure of a Storm in Caimito Beach from the Observations of the Radar of White House and Key West
The importance of the works lies in the improvement of the forecasts of fog, precipitation and allow us to know the characteristics of the Dangerous Meteorological Phenomena, such as thunderstorms and electric storms so recurrent in our territory.
