Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Declaration by UNESCO of the Punto Cubano as intangible heritage of humanity, is a reason to celebrate in the municipality of Madruga, one of the most deeply rooted exponents of the tradition in the country.

Guajiro interpreters, accompanying musicians, poets and tonadists, will put their talent in the recreation of the inhabitants of the locality.

From this December 15 and until January 2, the lovers of the Punto cubano in Madruga, will enjoy cultural proposals with lively controversies and songs.

Representatives of the tradition will also be present at the municipal gala for the 59th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution and in the parties organized in the work collectives to celebrate the anniversary of January 1st.

There will be peasant guateques in Cooperatives and family houses where once again it will become clear why the Punto cubano is the intangible heritage of humanity.

Honor to a tradition that needs greater defense and recognition within the borders of the nation because in the end it does not belong to a few but to many, especially to those who for love cultivate and defend it.
