Mayabeque, Cuba_ Yuqueila Camero Áreas won a gold medal in the Camagüey Weightlifting Cup, in which 10 athletes of the province participate. 

Yosbany Reyes Santi reached the silver medal between the males.

The team of the province was invited to the event by the results in the Cerro Pelado National Cup, where it won 10 medals distributed in gold, silver and bronze, as well as third and fourth places.

Leodán Domenech, provincial commissioner and trainer Alexander García Pérez, expressed their satisfaction with the performance of the students.

Alexander added that these contests promote the development, skills and dexterity of athletes when lifting weights, besides allowing them to be in perfect psychological and physical conditions.
