Mayabeque, Cuba_ This December 20 the world commemorates Human Solidarity Day, an opportune moment to thank all those who extend their hand to the underprivileged, at the cost of any sacrifice, the website of Radio Camoa publishes. Â
In San José de las Lajas, capital of Mayabeque, the solidarity invites a woman or man to leave their home to travel to unknown regions because duty calls them.
Certainly the sacrifice has a highly altruistic destiny and in spite of the consequences that affect the family of the internationalist, this quality is repeated again and again in thousands of people who live in the city.
The hands of doctors, educators, athletes, specialists of the Culture sector, builders, and technicians extend to remote places. A whole group of warriors, who are lovers of peace.
The greatest virtue of those who practice internationalism is humanism. The assumed attitude is admirable. They do not fear contagion with exotic diseases, nor the brutal force of earthquakes, nor floods, nor even the nostalgia caused by the kilometers that separate them from their loved ones.
Strength is imprinted by the conviction that they are necessary and useful.
Commander Ernesto Guevara de la Serna said that there is nothing more important than the life of a human being. From him we also learned to be true revolutionaries.
