Rio de Janeiro_ The archer Adrián Puentes, Pan-American champion, will be the first Cuban athlete in competing in the Olympics of this Brazilian city when he participates this Friday in the classificatory  round in the recurve archery, Radio Reloj publishes.
Puentes is the only Cuban classified in that old discipline and who had to defeat outstanding figures as Juan Carlos Stevens and Hugo Franco in the eliminatory round held in Havana last July, to win a place for this Olympic games.
64 men are intervening in the individual lid of recurve archery and today's test determines the classification.
