Mayabeque_ Since its founding on January 9, 2011, Mayabeque province has graduated 2519 health professionals as part of the efforts made to contribute to the strengthening of one of the main achievements of the Cuban Revolution.
Of this figure, 823 are doctors and stomatologists who provide services in the institutions of the primary and secondary health care network of the territory counts for the benefit of the population.
Mayabeque also exhibits an infant mortality rate of less than five per thousand live births since 2014, despite the difficulties imposed by the US blockade against Cuba.
The demarcation is involved in a broad investment process in the health infrastructure to improve the comfort of the units, increase efficiency in services and maintain high rates of life quality in the population.
While and as an expression of humanism and the solidarity of the Mayabequenses, hundreds of medical professionals from the youngest province of the country are collaborating in other parts of the world to save human lives.
