Mayabeque, Cuba_ Producers from Mayabeque will participate in the Sixth International Meeting on Sustainable Agroecology and Cooperativism, to be held from November 19 to 25, with the participation of more than twenty countries.

The use of efficient microorganisms, the use of sustainable alternatives, seed conservation, animal traction and the introduction of techniques to minimize the effects of climate change to produce healthy food are among the topics to be presented in the event.

In September the delegates will participate in previous methodological workshops to multiply the experiences on these topics and also to deepen the work of the promoters and the link with the research centers.

During the first two days of the meeting, the province will receive a delegation as part of the practical theoretical program that includes the visit to agroecological farms.

In the journey, they will know about the resources to produce foods beneficial to human health, land management, and protection of natural resources such as soil, water and biodiversity.
