Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Casona Azul Art Gallery, in Melena del Sur, hosted the second meeting of visual arts of small format called La Tetra.

The National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) awarded the works Autobiographical Portrait by Yoslo Fernández and Deities Series, by Oslendy Hernández Vasallo of the Hermanos Saiz Association (AHS), from the more than 44 works in competition.

José Luis Medina’s work Con cuerpo etéreo received the award La Tetra and the prize from the Academy of Arts Concha Márquez was received by Osley Gil.

The representative of the Art Upstairs Group project, Gilberto Hernández Macareo, personally delivered the prize of the Academy of Art in Madrid to Andrés Molina.

Promoting Mayabeque's artistic avant-garde, as well as stimulating the work of each creator, whether of academic or empirical formation recreated in small format, both for novels and others already consecrated are the objectives of the event.

The participants in the activity enjoyed the performance of troubadour Yordano Corrales and the poet Pilar Fernández.

According to Odalmis Troncoso Pérez, director of the institution in Melena del Sur, the exhibition will be opend to the public until the first half of September.
