Mayabeque, Cuba_ The exhibition Fidel in Melena del Sur is exposed at the headquarters of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), concerning the 90th birthday of the leader of the Cuban Revolution and the celebration of the VII Congress of the CCP, the digital site of Mayabeque newspaper published.

The photographs expose the visit of the leader of the Cuban Revolution to Melena, in December 1961, when the territory officially became the first of Cuba to be declared free of illiteracy.

Also it is reflected Fidel dialogue’s with residents of Gregorio A. Mañalich Sugar Mill and with children of the territory.

The Commander in Chief visited on several occasions the province, where he founded important science centers such as the National Center for Agricultural Health (Censa) and the Institute of Animal Science (ICA), among others.
