Mayabeque, Cuba_ The provincial contest Sabe más quien lee más, was carried out at Victor mestre Primary School in San José de las Lajas, with the participation of 41 students from all education levels in Mayabeque.
According to Mercedes Alfonso Chomat, national assessor of school libraries, the contest has the objective of bringing the students close to the books, the investigation and to develop abilities in the oral and written expression.
The winners of this edition resulted the students Zoelia Quintero, from Melena del Sur, studying in the ninth grade of the special teaching, the fourth grade student from Madruga Ruth Hernández RodrÃguez, Caterin Rojas Calderin from 8th grade and Dariel Suarez Noriega of the technic and professional teaching, both from Güines and in the high school level, the winner was José Leandro Rubalcaba, from Melena del Sur.
The national awarding ceremony will take place on April 2nd, of the present year to homage the International Day of the Literature for Children and Youth.
