Mayabeque, Cuba_ The municipal assemblies of the Jose Marti Pioneers Organization (OPJM in Spanish) named “Avanzando, paso a paso”, started this last March 22nd I Bejucal and will end on May 4th, in Melena del Sur, the digital site of Mayabeque newspaper reported.
The meetings are spaces in which the students discuss about their requirements and expectative, the functioning of the organization, the importance of learning about the Homeland history, the origin of the province and the study as their main task.
Mayumi Leon Quintana, president of the OJPM in the demarcation, explain that during the meetings, each locality will select a representative to attend the National Assembly expected for next July 15 through 17th.
“As part of the process, on January we celebrated the assemblies “Vamos a sonar” at the groups level as well as the meetings Con los pies en la tierra, in the pioneers groups, which concluded last March 15th”, Leon Quintana added.
