Mayabeque, Cuba_ The current stage of the breeding of turkeys goes on favorably  in La Demajagua Fattening Farm, belonging to the municipality of San Nicolás, about 65 kilometers from the Cuban capital.  

The supply of feed, water, veterinary care and other beneficial actions for more than 23 thousand turkeys, characterize the productive scene of the entity, the only one of its kind in the poultry system of the young province.

The distribution prioritizes units of the public health sector and other social groups, mainly in the province.

The Doctor in Veterinary Juan Olides Henández told Radio Mayabeque Digital that "the work group prioritizes the attention to the turkeys during the day and night, so the growth and fattening of the turkeys is achieved more quickly", according to the specialist.

The farm has assumed this type of breeding for more than a decade. For his successes he holds several awards, among them, the Outstanding of the Poultry Company of Mayabeque.
