In statements to Radio Jaruco, Abel Prieto said: "the reopening of this institution on the International Museum Day is opportune. It has a historical room, another which alludes to the aboriginal communities that were settled in this area, other rooms dedicated to the independence struggles and the Revolution. At another point the Minister of Culture said: "It is very important that you have rewarded teachers, professors, retirees of the sector who returned to teaching, there you have an institution that can provide an incalculable service to the formation of new generations within the cult to the historical and cultural memory ".
