Mayabeque, Cuba_  The socioeconomic results in 2017 and the first months of the current year, became the main topic of the visit of the member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Esteban Lazo Hernández, during his visit to the province.

Lazo Hernandez called to satisfy the social interests of the population in exchange with political and government officials at the government headquarters in Mayabeque, located in San Jose de las Lajas, about 35 kilometers from Havana, the Cuban capital.

"Our objective is to represent the people. So we must know how they think, what their dissatisfactions are, we must inform the people and mobilize them to respond to the situations in the neighborhood," Lazo said.

"Everyone has to work in function of those things that affect the Revolution, there are people who do not pay the tribute, there are those who close the contract with the state as self-employed and then continue doing the work they did illegally, they are people who live in our blocks, in a constituency, in a Popular Council, why do we allow it?

When stopping in the economic aspect, the also President of the National Assembly of the Popular Power (ANPP), recognized the results of the province in the harvest of the potato, one of the best in the last years and in the sugar harvest, activity that since the creation of the province, it has lagged behind.

The repercussion that the failure of the production plans of the Genetic Enterprise of the East and the White Ceramic Factory of Santa Cruz del Norte during 2017 had for the economy of the territory, motivated the exchange around the objective and subjective problems that they propitiated the descent.

In the first quarter of the year, thirteen companies show an economic loss, which implies a greater effort by each entity in terms of meeting the production plans of 2018. Referring to the matter Esteban Lazo called "to make an in-depth analysis of how much reserve it exists in companies to try to over fulfill the plan of the second semester ".

The president of the Provincial Assembly of People's Power, Tamara Valido Benítez, said that during the exchange, the actions that must be carried out in the present to solve today's problems were clear, and they also anticipated the actions to be carried out in the future. For his part, Esteban Lazo called for strengthening the control of social goods

The meeting was attended by Juan Miguel García Díaz, member of the Central Committee of the Party and its First Secretary in the province of Mayabeque.
