Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Second National Scientific Meeting on Environmental Education and Sustainable Development 2018 sessions at the Agrarian University of Havana, Fructuoso RodrÃguez Pérez, according to the report by Anelis DÃaz, from Radio Jaruco.
The two days of exchange, debate and reflection has as fundamental objective to socialize results and experiences included in the research presented by the participants, related to the topics of environmental education and sustainable development.
The main conference of the first day was "State Plan for the Confrontation to Climate Change, Tarea Vida", by the Master in Sciences, Orlando Rey Santos, advisor of the National Direction of Environment of CITMA.
For a decade, CITMA presented to the government the current scientific results where it demonstrated the complexity and gravity of the matter. On April 25, 2017 the proposals are approved by that body and were called Tarea Vida, for media reasons.
"Many of these studies, particularly those related to the so-called Macro project of the Cuban climate scenarios, in the years 2050 and 2100, have their focus on the rise of the sea level and the effects that derive from it".
At a time when the effects of climate change are evident, Cuban universities join projects for environmental education aimed at academic staff and students.
