Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), of Mayabeque, organizes a plan of actions prior to the celebration of the World Environment Day, on June 5.

Since last month the municipalities of the province hold fairs and workshops about flowers, scientific meetings on environmental education and sustainable development, hygiene work in settlements and meetings of circles of interest to diversify their experiences.

In these first days of June they will also give lectures on the impact of climate change on agriculture, there will be a symposium on the environment, as well as activities in schools, cinemas and parks in the territories.

The central act for the anniversary will be at the headquarters of the Provincial Assembly of People's Power, where they will reward the contests called for the occasion.

The day in defense of the environment will last until the 30th of this month with the Seventh International Meeting of Young Farming Workers (Interjoven) at the Institute of Animal Science (ICA), as the culmination of the meeting.
