Mayabeque, Cuba_ The West Oil Drilling and Extraction Company (EPEPO), located in Mayabeque, increases its production lines.

Currently some 400 thousand cubic meters of gas are used for the consumption of homes and cooking food in the capital of the country, while a high percent of the equivalent is used, mainly, in thermoelectric power plants.

According to the director of EPEPO, José Enrique Alegría Águila, his mission is to produce oil and accompanying gas, give primary treatment and deliver the productions to Energas to generate electricity.

EPEPO has basic business units that serve the oil wells from Havana del Este to Seboruco, in Matanzas, destined for the extraction of crude oil and the use of the accompanying gas.
