Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), and Minister of Public Health, Dr. Roberto Morales Ojeda, called for increasing the quality of services in the medical institutions of this province.

The also Vice President of State, argued that better care has to do with the organization of hospital services, the sanitation and the citizen satisfaction and added: "that the population go to the clinic or the polyclinic to solve their problem, it will depend on the confidence they in finding there the solution”.

Morales Ojeda said that quality is essential in the various phases of attention to the people. "We have to lead the patient to the solution, even if the resource is in a third level of care outside the province, that is institutional responsibility, of  the family doctor in the health area, the hospital that has to manage the appointment or the inter consultation with another specialist or the medication, that is our responsibility, they are key elements ".

After completing the control visit to the province of Mayabeque, he exchanged with sector executives at the province and municipalities levels to evaluate the maternal and child program, hygiene and epidemiology and the maintenance of public health institutions.

"One of the main complaints of the population has to do with infrastructure and in this province in recent times an extraordinary effort has been made, at the same time it is pointed out that there are certain municipalities that do not progress at the same pace, we have to make the fulfillment of the program of the year”, Dr. Roberto Morales Ojeda, Minister of Public Health, said.
