Mayabeque, Cuba_ The month of July closes and behind is everything that was done in the summer opening of 2018 in the province. Now August arrives with proposals that we can call traditional and others to fulfill in Popular Councils and neighborhoods with the support of the municipal directions of culture and sports.

The days 3, 4 and 5 are destined for the Summer Festival in Jibacoa 2018. Some 30,000 young people, mainly university students from all over the country, will arrive to the Northern coast of Mayabeque to enjoy different musical groups. In the three scenarios prepared the logistics will be in charge of PM Records.

Organized by the Provincial Direction of Culture, the government and other institutions of the province, the event has the support of the provincial direction of culture of Havana, the Ministry of Culture and the Cuban Institute of Music.

On August 6, party, government and provincial sports direction leaders will banner the Mayabeque Hurricanes, prior to their intervention in the 58th version of the Cuban Baseball Classic.

In all the municipalities the International Youth Day will be celebrated on August 12th. The dances will characterize the day before August 13, when we will commemorate the 92nd anniversary of the birth of the eternal Commander of the Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.

A new edition of the Ideal Olympic half marathon will take place between the cities of San Jose de las Lajas, capital of Mayabeque, and Güines, with the finishing line in the central park.

In total there will be 21 kilometers to travel with the participation of members of the national teams of men and women of this long-term specialty. The call is extended to citizens from all over the country who wish to intervene, have physical limitations or not, whether or not they are practicing organized sports.

In its final days August reserves Mayabeque’s residents, those from Guines in particular, three days with the intrepidity, speed and risk of motocross, passion in this locality, capable of gathering around the track more than 20 thousand fans. The event will have as stage the track located on the right side of the Mayabeque River.
