Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Agricultural Production Cooperative (CPA) Benito Juárez, from Jaruco, held the assembly of the economic balance corresponding to the fiscal year 2017-2018. In this space, the associates evaluated the results of this stage, rated as superior to the previous period.
In the main productive line of the CPA, the cut and the rise of the sugarcane the entity reached a total of 22 thousand 200 tons which were delivered to the industry, for a yield close to 63 tons per hectare.
The last season left the entity profits close to more than 1 million 735 thousand pesos, despite having a productive cycle hit by the intense drought and then by the rains.
In the control to the sugar harvest in the cooperative, it was recognized the systematic growth in the sowing of cane, as well as the incorporation of almost a dozen young people to the place. In addition, it was advocated the need to increase 100 hectares to productive areas under exploitation.
