Mayabeque, Cuba_ The emblematic Tambores de Bejucal will continue its summer tour in the month of August. From 17 to 19 the musicians will perform at the carnival in Havana, specifically in the area of ​​the capital's boardwalk and from 24 to 26 they will put rhythm and color to the largest popular festival in the province of Matanzas.

During the month of July, the artistic group began in Bejucal a tour of Mayabeque that included the municipalities of Santa Cruz del Norte, Jaruco and Madruga, according to statements offered to Radio Mayabeque by the director of the group, Alexis Hernández Pérez.

Hernández Pérez also reported that they recorded an album titled Charangas de Bejucal, with which they celebrate more than a century of existence and fruitful artistic work.

The Bejucal municipality identifies this group as something that belongs to it and enjoys the musical wealth that they have been able to create and perpetuate. They are part of the cultural heritage treasured by a city almost three hundred years old.

Under the influence of the cultural projection of this group, all the components of the social field of the community act without mediating differences of class, age, sex, race, intellectual level. It is a group anchored in identity with a broad social vocation and popular support.
